Winter Vitamins
And as the temperature outside drops, our bodies’ need for more vitamins and nutrients, rises!
Ahhh yes, the holidays are here and everyone is getting into the spirit of giving. But gifts aren’t the only things you may receive from others. As we all gather indoors to stay out of the cold, the environment is most optimal for bacteria and viruses to spread, and I don’t know about you, but that is one gift I DON’T need from others!
Make sure you continue taking your daily multi-vitamin and usual supplements, but for an added boost of immune support, double up on that Vitamin D and Vitamin C. We’re not getting nearly as much sun as in the summer months, so our need for more of the ‘Sunshine Vitamin’ (D) is apparent, and despite the recent controversy on Vitamin C, I’m still a firm believer that it has helped me avoid many a flu through the years!
